I know its been discussed before, but I still dont quite get the point of having 2 lounges; 1 private, and 1 public.

What was wrong with the Skegness Soap-Box? It was a good place to discuss Skeggy indepth, like the behind the scenes stuff etc, the stuff that doesn't belong in the Tourist section.

The way I see it is Lounge's, whether they be public, or private, are just places for members to discuss the world beyond the main forum subject. (We now have a lounge area which is full of topics about Skegness?)

So what is the need to 2 of them, and the removal of the Soap Box?

(Sorry if I sound a bit critical, I just dont get it, thats all... )

There is not a whole lot in a name.

But some topics recently we don't want none member seeing and they are not to do with Skegness.. I am happy to change the name if we can agree on something..

I would suggest keeping the Soap Box as it is, and just making the Lounge private.

After all, non-members wont browse here looking at the Lounge will they? They're browsing here to find info on Skeggy!

(And isn't it pretty standard for Lounges to be called 'Members Lounge'?)

I see no problem with these forums as they are. I think 'Public' & 'Private' is actually beter than 'Soapbox'.

I see it has a pub where you have separate areas for the general public, and another area for Private Functions.

If the names need changing, and I don't they do, then I would suggest :-

Private Members' Lounge (Topics Need Not Be Skegness Related)

Non-Members General Chat (Topics Need Not Be Skegness Related)

Ok, so where do you suggest we discuss topics about Skeggy, that dont fit in the Tourist section?

I'd like to see 2 lounges on my veranda I think everything is fine the way it is, we all know what to post and where to post it,

So from now on, where should I post behind the scenes Skeggy stuff, Tourist section? Or these living room things?
